The grotto was once again manned by club members and in 2018 and it is anticipated that a further £3,000 will be raised. The weather was not very kind to us but seeing the smiles on children's faces made up for it.

On Thursday 12th April, a few Eastleigh Lions dropped into Brambridge Park Garden Centre and were presented with a cheque for the Club’s Charity Account for services rendered during the run up to Christmas.  Lions provided nearly 200 hours of Santas and assistants who operated each weekend from 22nd November and each day through the last week leading up to Christmas. The Garden Centre Manager Chris thanked the Lions for their efforts and looked forward to seeing them again this year as he presented the cheque for £3000.

The club once again manned the grotto at a local garden centre. All the facilities were provided by the garden centre with proceeds being shared.

Over 500 children took the opportinity to visit during the pre Christmas period. Most were delighted, and excited, to meet Father Christmas, although a few tears were shed by some of the younger visitors.

In addition to the children visiting Father Christmas, parents were given the opportunity to win a christmas hamper. The winner being Angela from Southampton.

£1,500 was raised for the club's charity account.

Our thanks go to all the staff at the garden centre for their continued support.
